Using LMM
When something isn’t right
A model won’t load
When LMM is available, open Planner and check the model’s hardware fit for this Mac. If it says Won’t fit, try a smaller model, a smaller context or unloading another model.
Everything feels slow
When LMM is available, run Checkup. It looks at memory, running models, connected apps and server settings, and explains each finding before anything changes.
LMM can’t see my server
LMM works with Ollama, LM Studio, llama.cpp and MLX. Make sure the server is running on this Mac or a paired Mac, then check again.

- A Mac with Apple silicon
- macOS 14 or later
- A model server: Ollama, LM Studio, llama.cpp or MLX
- A headless Mac mini or Mac Studio counts as one Mac in your plan
Your data
Your data stays on your Mac
LMM is designed to run on your Mac. Its prompts, conversations and files do not come to us. The Privacy Policy lists the app’s network connections.
